I have a Spring Boot application that consumes messages from RabbitMQ (using Spring AMQP). I also have a Spring Boot application that manages Eureka server that also uses RabbitMQ. Both the applications reside on a single machine. I am trying to figure out how to call the Spring Boot REST endpoints from within the Eureka client application to send and receive messages between the two applications. For example, in the Eureka client application, I want to use the AdminClient.sendMessage to send messages to the Spring Boot application using the camel camel-spring-boot-starter. The spring-boot-starter uses the camel-spring-boot-starter. Is there a way to create the camel endpoint in the Eureka client app that will be recognized by the camel-spring-boot-starter and use the camel endpoint to send messages to the Eureka Server from the Spring Boot application? A: We solved it by leveraging the camel-rabbitmq-starter. When we run the Eureka client from the Spring Boot application, we created an admin client from the camel-rabbitmq-starter and sent the messages. It is possible to create a separate application that would run the Eureka client only, but I am not sure how this would interact with the Spring Boot application that would run the message consumer. I also tested the camel-spring-boot-starter and it did not work. It would hit the REST endpoint but it could not find the corresponding Eureka client. However, when we created the admin client for the camel-rabbitmq-starter, it worked. Once we did this, it was easy to integrate with Spring Boot, so it worked as expected. 1.
